Attachment Glitch

Hello,

When taking a screenshot within the app and pasting it into an older version of Outlook, the screenshot is added as an attachment. However, other images or those captured with the Snipping Tool are inserted directly into the body of the email.

In contrast, the new Outlook embeds images directly within the email using Sleekshot, rather than as an attachment, which is clearly the preferred method.

I am trying to determine if there is an issue with how Sleekshot is creating the image as an attachment.

Although the older version of Outlook may eventually become obsolete, I understand that many companies and individuals will continue using it until they are required to switch.

Please let me know what you discover!

Hey, I just pushed an update with a different approach using the clipboard. Please update the app and test it with Outlook. I hope this helps—it should! Thanks.

Hey! Good to know. I’ll test it in the older outlook. I guess it happened after I fixed compability with Libreoffice.

Hey there. Thank you for details. I tried an old outlook on Windows 10 and it pastes as the image. Could you please clarify your Windows version and Outlook version?

It will help me a lot to reproduce a problem. I found out it’s a popular issue.

            Hi Viktor,
I am using the latest Windows 11 with Outlook from Office 365.

My workaround is to paste on Microsoft Paint and then copy from Paint to outlook emails, its terrible :(

            appears as attachment:
