Hey Viktor !
I understand u changed it cah it was causing issues wit Outlook & Gemini, which satisfies one group of users.
But there’s another group of ppl who benefited from the prev behavior.
So I think it would be great if u could make it optional in the settings:
whether the screenshot is saved as a temporary file w its path copied or not.
OR anotha suggestion is, adding two buttons when copying,
One for the prev behavior, n the other is for the current behavior.

Regarding the benefits :
1. For websites that require image uploads, I could simply hit Ctrl+V n it would work perfectly. Even if pasting fails, I could hit Win+R n access the file path to drag the image.
( cah rn, i need to save the screenshot in order 2b able 2upload the img, whichs kinda a long process )
2. Temporary access to the file, sometimes I just needed 2quickly review screenshots via the file path witout keeping them permanently.

Another feature I’d like 2see :
A dedicated shortcut that, after selecting a portion of the screen, it auto-copies it to the clipboard.
This will be speeds up workflow for quick tasks, like grabbing a snippet to paste into docs, chats, or websites instantly, witout extra clicks
____
n also, Snap to angle on arrows

Lastly,
I rly appreicate ur work on this amazing app g
huge respect 4u my bro !

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. The thing is, I recently changed the way screenshots are copied to the clipboard. Previously, each screenshot was saved as a temporary file to disk and we copied a link to that file to clipboard — that’s why you used to get the file path as well.
However, that approach caused compatibility issues with apps like Outlook and Gemini, so I had to switch to the standard clipboard method.
I’m curious though — what was the main benefit for you in having access to the temporary file path? I’d love to understand your use case better. Thanks a lot for the feedback!
